The RSA bloggers take a global view of things (naturally) and often like to look across the 'pond' from the UK to the US to see what's going on there. One favourite point of reference on the web is the pages of the Brookings Institution, one of the oldest and most prestigious research organisations in the US.

We've blogged on Brookings before, so today's post is just a quick pointer towards some research conducted on The State of Metropolitan America and, in particular, a short film explaining the contents of a related report (see below). The commentary is by Alan Berube (beh-roo-be), Senior Fellow at Brookings. Definitely worth a look, particularly for non-US researchers who want to understand what is happening in the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the US.
