It's now only two months until the RSA European Conference in Delft so we're going to take a little look at what's coming up and what you can expect to see and hear. We'll look at the Beijing Conference again in the near future. First things first today... The map embedded below shows you the hotels and main locations that the conference will use.

Who can you expect to hear at Delft? Well, the plenary speakers have all been announced and are described in this document. It's a great line up and includes Peter Hall and Danuta Hübner!

The city of Delft is itself a beautiful place and you can read more about it on the Delft Creating History website in English and of course in Dutch. There is also a useful introductory video on YouTube (embedded below) which provides a really nice summary of the city - key facts: around 100,000 population, including 18,000 students.


At the conference there will be a large number of special sessions covering important 'hot topics' in research, including:

In addition to all the high-brow academic discussion, the conference also provides the opportunity for regional studies scholars to socialise in the fine hostelries of Delft - should they be so inclined. The RSA Blog Squad are looking forward to the Delft conference and the famous Dutch hospitality.
